STRIVING FOR OUTDOOR EXCELLENCE
Bridgemont Nursery is located in a suite of rooms with a courtyard play area and a private meadow in the grounds of Whaley Bridge Primary School. This provides us with extensive grounds in which to extend our love of nature and nurture the next generation to have an appreciation of the natural world. Our dedicated team makes full use of these exciting environments which provide rich and diverse learning and development opportunities. We encourage the children to interact with each other and the world around them. Local professionals are organised to visit the children and provide additional stimulating themed activities on which we build and extend our regular sessions. Our objective is to maximise the fantastic resources we have to encourage inquisitive, receptive, independent thinking and learning.

Bridgemont Nursery’s underpinning philosophy is that children deserve to spend quality time in a well resourced challenging outdoor environment.
Ever increasing research shows that modern day children are not able to access the important experience of extensive outdoor play, and are therefore not be best prepared for their future learning. During her employment with us our former employee Elizabeth, made "outdoor learning" her dissertation research subject for her First Class BA Honours Degree. This has took the passion of Bridgemont’s commitment to outdoor learning to a further level. We really feel we have made an exciting environment vital to the children's development and learning! |
